The Pursuit of Truth: A Christian's Compass

In a world overflowing with information, discerning truth is like fishing in stormy seas. Just as God gave Peter the truth he needed and lifted him up out of the water, he will lift us up and declare the truth to us. We only have to listen. God calls us to be beacons of truth but we must first discern the truth through him.

Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). This places truth as central to our faith. It's not just about facts; it's about aligning our lives with God's will, seeking righteousness, and living out the TRUTH of His love in an uncertain world.

Proverbs 12:22 reminds us, "The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who are truthful." Truthfulness is a cornerstone of our Christian walk. It builds trust, strengthens relationships, and reflects the integrity of God Himself. As christians, when we show others that we are truthful we can lead the non-believer to the truth of the Gospel

Seeking truth requires a humble heart and a commitment to lifelong learning. We must spend time in his word and in prayer. We must ask him for his wisdom to guide our thoughts and actions. Prayerfully seeking God's guidance is essential in navigating this beautiful, sometimes crazy, life.

Let us strive to be people of truth, reflecting the character of our Lord in all that we say and do.
